Your Spiritual Life in Jeopardy because of Sex

Your Spiritual Life in Jeopardy because of Sex

Some of you are not under spiritual attack.
You are simply trying to mix holiness with lust.
Let’s speak honestly like men who desire God.
1. You cannot ask God for power while feeding sin.
You cannot pray for purity in the morning
and indulge in pornography at night.
“No one can serve two masters.”
~Matthew 6:24 ????
You ask God for destiny, yet chase pleasure.
You cry during worship, then return to fornication.
That is not spiritual warfare.
That is contradiction.
“Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
~James 1:22 ????
You are not growing spiritually because you are feeding your lust more than your soul.
2. Sexual sin creates separation from God.
Sexual sin is not harmless.
It weakens your spiritual sensitivity and authority.
After sexual sin:
Prayer feels heavy
Scripture feels distant
Worship loses fire
Guilt replaces confidence
You avoid holy things
This is not punishment.
It is separation.
“Your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God.”
~Isaiah 59:2 ????
You cannot sin boldly and still pray boldly.
3. The body is a temple, not a playground.
Your body is not your own.
“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit…? You are not your own.”
~1 Corinthians 6:19–20 ????
Pornography, masturbation, and fornication pollute the temple.
Every indulgence plants guilt.
Every repetition strengthens addiction.
Every compromise buries your anointing.
“Shun immorality. Every other sin a man commits is outside the body; but the immoral man sins against his own body.”
~1 Corinthians 6:18 ????
Your fire is not gone
it is buried under sexual compromise.
4. You cannot chase God and lust at the same time.
One will eventually leave.
“For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit.”
~Galatians 5:17 ????
It is either:
Death to the flesh and life in Christ
or
Pleasure now and spiritual death later
“For if you live according to the flesh you will die.”
~Romans 8:13 ????
Many men do not lack calling.
They lack consecration.
5. God is not distant discipline is.
You ask, “Why don’t I feel God anymore?”
But you feed lust daily.
You say, “My fire is low.”
But you refuse self-control.
“Like a city broken into and left without walls is a man who lacks self-control.”
~Proverbs 25:28 ????
This is not a “dry season.”
This is self-inflicted spiritual damage.
6. Sexual sin disconnects you spiritually.
When lust dominates:
Spiritual authority weakens
Dreams become impure
Shame replaces boldness
God’s voice grows faint
It usually begins small:
“Just once”
“Just a clip”
“Just one night”
“Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.”
~John 8:34
Bondage always starts with permission.
7. Freedom requires surrender and discipline.
Lust is not managed it is crucified.
“Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
~Galatians 5:24
Scripture does not say negotiate.
It says flee.
“Flee from sexual immorality.”
~1 Corinthians 6:18
Practical obedience matters:
Remove lustful content
Block temptation sources
Avoid late-night compromises
Seek accountability
Confess and repent
“Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.”
~James 5:16
This is not shame.
This is spiritual survival.
Mortal Sin and the Sixth Commandment
Pornography, masturbation, and sex outside marriage are grave matter against the Sixth Commandment.
.
“You shall not commit adultery.”
~Exodus 20:14
The Church teaches that mortal sin separates us from God until repentance and sacramental confession.
“Nothing unclean shall enter [heaven].”
~Revelation 21:27
But mercy is always available to the repentant.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.”
~1 John 1:9
Dear brother,
God has not abandoned you.
You drifted because pleasure replaced obedience.
Sex does not save, it steals.
Lust does not satisfy, it enslaves.
Porn does not heal, it destroys.
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
~Matthew 5:8 ????
✔️Return to purity.
✔️Return to discipline.
✔️Return to the fire.
Your calling is too great
Your future family too valuable
Your soul too precious
to live with an undisciplined life.
This war is worth winning.
